FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: June 19, 2025

The National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA) is pleased to announce that Brian A. Hinton of the law firm, Anderson, Crawley & Burke, PLLC, has successfully achieved Board Certification as a Civil Trial Law advocate. Approximately three percent of American lawyers are board certified, and Mr. Hinton is a member of an exclusive group of trial attorneys who have proven their competence in their specialty areas and have illustrated their commitment to bettering the legal profession by successfully completing a rigorous application process.

The NBTA was formed out of a strong conviction that both the law profession and its clients would benefit from an organization designed specifically to create an objective set of standards illustrating an attorney’s experience and expertise in the practice of trial law, and thus, Board Certification is the highest, most stringent, and most reliable honor an attorney can achieve. The elaborate screening of credentials that all NBTA board certified attorneys must successfully complete includes: demonstration of substantial trial experience, submission of judicial and peer references to attest to their competency, attendance of continuing legal education courses, submission of legal writing documents, proof of good standing and passing of an examination.

Mr. Hinton is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law and is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts within the state of Mississippi.  In his career spanning over 28 years, he has been involved in hundreds of litigated civil matters, arbitrations, and trials.  Mr. Hinton is also actively involved in the mediation of litigated claims as an alternative means of claims resolution.  He is an active member of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, Defense Research Institute and sits on the Executive Committee of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Mississippi Bar Association.
