Michael T. Bartley, a native of Birmingham, Alabama, is a graduate of Mississippi College (1994), The University of Mississippi School of Law (1998), and The University of Florida, Levin College of Law (2009). While at The University of Mississippi School of Law, Michael was the Associate Notes and Comments Editor for the Mississippi Law Journal; Co-author of Comment, 1997 Mississippi Supreme Court Review – Insurance, 67 MISS. L.J 527 (1997); and received Outstanding Student Award Torts I, Property I, Individual Income Tax, Evidence. He was also the Student Editor for the Florida Tax Review during his time at The University of Florida, Levin College of Law.
Michael was admitted to bar in Mississippi in 1998 and is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Mississippi. Michael has previously worked at firms in both Mississippi and Florida. His primary focus while in Mississippi was asbestos litigation involving several hundred witnesses and cases; he shifted his focus to tax planning while working at firms in Florida. Upon moving back to Mississippi, he joined The Bike Crossing as General Manager, opening and operating two retail bicycle establishments.
Currently, Michael’s primary responsibility at Anderson Crawley & Burke, pllc, is in the area of general litigation and workers’ compensation. Michael resides in Madison with his wife Robin, and their three children.
