Cecelia “Cece” Hurt is a native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, having grown up in Long Beach. She is a graduate of the University of Mississippi (B.B.A. Marketing; Entrepreneurship, 2019) and the University of Mississippi School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2022).

While in law school, Cece served as the Associate Cases Editor of the Mississippi Law Journal and as the Internal Competitions Chair of the Trial Advocacy Board, where she competed in several national trial advocacy competitions. She was later named the Trial Advocacy Board Member of the Year Award for 2021-2022 for her trial performance in the Costello Criminal Law Trial Competition and the National Trial Competition, and for her organization of various internal competitions. Cece further authored a legal note that was published in the Mississippi Sports Law Review in the Spring of 2022.

Cece was admitted to the Bar of Mississippi and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern District of Mississippi in 2022.
