Richerish D.M. Johnson is a native of Jackson, MS. She received both her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (2008) and Master’s degree in Special Education (2010) from Jackson State University. Ms. Johnson obtained her Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law in 2015 where she was a full academic scholarship recipient.
While in law school, Ms. Johnson served as president of the Black Law Students’ Association and member of the Dean’s Advisory Board of Minority Affairs. As a member of the Moot Court Board, Ms. Johnson won several awards including Best On-Brief Oralist in the Copeland, Cook, Taylor and Bush Moot Court Competition. She was also a semifinalist in the 2015 Rendigs National Products Liability Moot Court Competition and won Best Petitioner Brief and Best Overall Brief. Ms. Johnson was inducted into the National Order of Barristers in 2015.
Ms. Johnson’s practice primarily focuses on representing employers and carriers in Workers’ Compensation matters. Licensed to practice in Mississippi, she is a member of several bar associations including the Mississippi Bar Association, the Jackson Young Lawyers Association, and the Magnolia Bar Association.
